We took part in the first edition of the Retail & Brand Experience World Congress, a new event organized by Fira de Barcelona in Hall 2 of the Gran Via exhibition center between the 27th and 29th of May, making Barcelona a benchmark for the digital transformation of the Retail sector. The event was also an opportunity to experiment with routes through innovative stores under the name Retail Safari.
In this first edition, leaders and senior executives of the industry, leading experts who shared knowledge and experiences of the sector, were all brought together and discussed the digital transformation and future of retail, a key sector in the economy.
High level conferences
Several presentations were given on digital culture and new tools necessary to face the demands of the current and future market, with the participation of 210 speakers from leading companies such as Ikea, Purina Petcare, British Airways, Google, Carrefour, etc. In total, there were 120 sessions around six themes: customer experience, omnichannel and digital, real estate, retail technologies for different sectors, 108 exhibiting companies of national and global brand. In addition, it was completed with the participation of 64 startup companies, an exhibition area and two routes through innovative establishments in Barcelona, such as Camper, Tous, Ametller Origen, Cepsa, La Boqueria, etc.
RBEWC is committed to the digitization of stores and brands, being the central theme of the first edition. Nearly 5,500 professional visitors from the Retail sector have registered, who were able to find the latest technological solutions related to physical stores, logistics, new business models and the latest trends applied to large market industries.
The future of retail
LED DREAM was present by the hand of partner Sportmas, offering different technological solutions to digitize their points of sale, showing the latest software solutions, process automation and big data management. In addition, the visitors were able to experience the functioning and usefulness of these solutions. The LED DREAM company took care of incorporating the “magnet” through an innovative solution at the Sportmas stand, transforming the point of sale into a different shopping experience, providing creativity, and creating interactive and digital spaces.
Creating digital experiences and improving shopping experience
In this space LED DREAM incorporated its new concept of digital showcase, focused on creating a memorable experience, with creative content and innovation through various technologies. In this case, 2.8mm high-quality and high-resolution screens were integrated, behind a 3x2-meter transparent screen, as well as digital lighting technology, content, and audio and video. Overall, integrated and synchronized so that visitors could see, touch, and experience the functionality of the digital showcase, living a unique experience and giving rise to infinite possibilities of creative ideas valid for many of the industries: retail, shopping centers, corporate environments, hospitality, and outdoor environments.
