Lumalia Studio Unveils ‘Light Skin’: An Interactive Digital Lighting Installation Transforming Architectural Spaces

Lumalia Studio introduced Light Skin, a groundbreaking interactive light installation designed to redefine how light is experienced in architectural spaces. Presented as a relaxed after-hours gathering, Afterwork by NAN provided the perfect setting for industry professionals to exchange ideas, explore emerging design trends, and build meaningful connections. Here

This innovative installation functioned as a living artwork: an interactive mirror that engaged visitors by activating dynamic light scenes corresponding to three emotional states—warm, cool, and dynamic. By responding to the viewer’s presence, the piece created a unique sensory experience, blending body, space, and light into an immersive emotional dialogue.

Leveraging advanced lighting design and sensor technology, Light Skin exemplifies Lumalia Studio’s commitment to using digital lighting as a powerful tool for emotional storytelling and architectural innovation.

Some of Lumalia Studio’s recent projects include Look Events, with immersive lighting installations for fashion and cultural occasions; La Illa, where they designed the digital marquee and illuminated ceiling along the main corridor of the shopping mall, creating a visual experience that transforms how visitors engage with the space; and the interactive façade of Sant Joan de Deu Hospital, a digital lighting installation on the building’s exterior that reimagines public space through a playful, abstract story.
