We are excited to share this incredible news! Our artistic lighting installation at Fira de Reis Gran Via has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Darc Awards in the Art – High Budget category. It is a true privilege to have collaborated with Artec Studio on this project, and this recognition is a well-deserved tribute to their outstanding work in contemporary lighting design. Additionally, Lumalia Studio, part of our lighting team, played a key role in creating a unique lighting experience, further establishing its impact on the international lighting design scene.

The Darc Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the world for architectural and artistic lighting design. Organized by Arc Magazine (www.arc-magazine.com) and Darc, in collaboration with leading industry experts, these awards celebrate creativity and innovation in using light. Being a finalist is already a significant achievement in this highly competitive industry.

Huge luminous sculptures and artistic light installations illuminate Barcelona this Christmas

The Fira de Reis Gran Via is one of Barcelona’s most iconic fairs, and this year, its lighting has taken on new meaning thanks to the work of Artec Studio and Lumalia Studio. The design and concept of these artistic sculptures were led by Artec Light Studio, while our experiential lighting team, Lumalia Studio, was responsible for their fabrication, installation, and activation. The sculptures are made of steel and dichroic translucent methacrylate, creating stunning color effects both day and night. With a width of one meter and reaching heights of up to 2.6 meters, these geometric structures invite people to walk through and interact with them, offering a unique experience.

Inspired by the symbolic nature of children’s gifts and the Three Wise Men, these installations are based on classic children’s shape-matching games. They take the form of two large-scale geometric structures that encourage moments of pause, embrace, and interaction among children, families, and friends. Barcelona is now home to artistic pieces that blend creativity, cutting-edge lighting technology, and sustainability.
