The design and concept of these artistic light sculptures were led by Artec Studio. Our lighting team, Lumalia Studio, handled both sculptures’ manufacturing, installation, assembly, and activation.

LUMINOUS ARTISTIC SCULPTURES DESIGNED FOR CHRISTMAS

For the Three Kings Fair at Gran Via, the design is reminiscent of the Sagrada Familia; they play with the symbolism of gifts and the Three Kings, continuing the magic and charm of this Christmas celebration.

Inspired by the symbolic nature of children’s gifts and the Three Kings, these installations draw from classic children’s lace-up games. They manifest as two large-scale geometric structures, inviting moments of pause, embrace, and interaction among children, families, and friends.

Located at the intersections of Gran Via with Comte Urgell and Comte Borrell streets, these elements serve as a focal point. Furthermore, the fair’s pathway is adorned with Barcelona’s classic lampposts embellished with colorful curtains, enhancing the festive ambiance.

The design and concept of the luminous artistic sculptures were led by Artec Studio, which in collaboration with its partner, Lumalia Studio, took charge of the manufacturing, installation, assembly, and commissioning of both sculptures.

Sculptural Light Art Designs for Christmas

Sagrada Familia Christmas Fair and Three Kings Fair on Gran Vía

– For the Sagrada Familia display, a large star composed of five elements has been designed and placed on the ground, encouraging interaction with this artwork. These elements will be situated along the central walkway of Sagrada Familia Park, between Provença and Sicília streets. Crafted from steel and translucent dichroic methacrylate, the design produces color effects both day and night. Moreover, it features a geometric shape, one meter wide and reaching up to 2.6 meters in height, allowing people to walk among them and immerse themselves in this experience.

– For the Three Kings Fair on Gran Vía, the design is akin to that of the Sagrada Familia. It will be positioned between Rocafort and Muntaner streets, featuring imagery that plays with the symbolism of gifts and the Three Kings, keeping alive the magic and charm of this Christmas celebration.

These luminous artistic sculptures are inspired by children’s puzzle games, featuring large-scale geometric shapes with empty centers symbolizing a place of wishes and happiness, perfect for embracing. This year, the Off Llum BCN circuit proposes seven unique installations that can be seen and enjoyed in the Poblenou Urban District community. Artec Studio will show two light art installations, including “Nuestro Mar Vibra” by Maurici Ginés – The Reflection of the Sun on the Mediterranean Sea. They are memories of light from Barcelona. It is inspired by the trail of reflections that the sun produces in the water when it appears in the Mediterranean Sea, so that the work evokes a fragmented view of the sunrise, its reflections in a sea of ​​its own.

  A celebration of art through lighting, Artec3 Studio had the collaboration of our company Lumalia Studio for the implementation of digital lighting (light-art). Technology for the architectural digitization of creative spaces

LUMALIA by LED DREAM this year participated as an exhibitor at Architect @Work, located at stand No. 24, unveiled its new technological solutions and new forms of digital visualization using dynamic digital lighting, for the design and setting of spaces, interior design, media facade and architectural, with the aim of contributing to the design of new functional, creative and spectacular spaces.

In this space LUMALIA by LED DREAM incorporated its new concept of dynamic digital lighting, through a harmonic digital space, integrated with different technologies, which surprised by their spectacularity and novelty. For this design, a sensory experience was created using synchronized audiovisual media in terms of content, patterned sculptures with metallic relief “light skins”, and vintage organic “Vagalume” luminaires.

An amazing mix of design, art and technology that visitors to the event were able to experience and enjoy. Some of the news that were released are:

• The Vagalume collection represents a set of compositions in blown glass pieces illuminated by filament. The warmth of the piece, accentuated by the complexity of the reflections in the pearlescent glass, plays with the movement of light, integrating in a natural and organic way a technological solution such as digital lighting, in an interior design piece with vintage aesthetics.
• The light skins collection encompasses various indirect radiation digital lighting solutions. The concept consists of a metallic “skin” that shapes the surface, made up of folds or undulations that house cavities through which light is projected to the outside. Light skins is suitable for both specific pieces, as well as large-format extended surfaces such as facades. It is in these where its visual richness is manifested in the short distance, as well as its resolution and its capabilities as a content support in the long distance, not as an add-on, but as an integrated architectural element.
