During this visit, the architectural and design wonders that make L’Illa an outstanding place have been revealed. And how could we not mention the dynamic ceiling of over 1,100 sqm. It is a true masterpiece of digital lighting that dazzles everyone, breathtakingly merging technology and art. This work has been carried out by Lumalia Studio, part of the LED DREAM group, in collaboration with the renowned architecture studio BatlleiRoig and the lighting design studio Artec Studio.

In summary, the ISE 2024 Fair has been a true spectacle, not only for technology enthusiasts but for the entire city of Barcelona. And with LED DREAM GROUP leading the way into the future, who knows what surprises await us this year!

But the story doesn’t end here. On February 2nd, a giant transparent screen of over 170m2 total surface area was installed on the south facade of the Stage Front Stadium, located in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and the investment group Publimaes S.L. trusted LED DREAM GROUP’s team for the design, installation, and content management of this prominent screen.

By the way, it’s a pleasure to announce that we will soon present our participation in one of the most anticipated sports-related projects in the world. The world of sports is becoming an increasingly relevant aspect in our company.

And to wrap it up, setting aside controversies surrounding the song “ZORRA,” the winning song of the last edition of the Benidorm Festival, which will represent us in the upcoming Eurovision contest, all Euro Fans who attended could enjoy the performances at Tecnohito. This unique space in Europe, located on Avenida del Mediterráneo in Benidorm, features an outdoor circular LED screen of 300 m2 and a height of 22 meters.

This year, we were once again selected by ISE, the world’s leading fair in the audiovisual sector, to offer an exclusive guided technological tour to visitors during the event, providing them with the opportunity to witness the implementations of new technologies and learn all the details of the commercial center’s renovation. We explored how this project was carried out, from the fascinating concept of digital lighting integrated into a dynamic ceiling to the strategically distributed LED screens throughout the shopping center.

On February 2nd, LEDDREAM Group, in collaboration with the Management of the L’illa Diagonal shopping center, the architecture studio Batlleiroig, and Lumalia Studio, conducted an exclusive technological tour for visitors during the ISE fair, the world’s most important event in the audiovisual sector. The event took place at the L’illa shopping center itself, where we presented all the fascinating details of this renovation and discovered how this project was executed: an innovative concept of digital lighting integrated into a dynamic ceiling and LED screens strategically distributed throughout the shopping center. These elements not only contribute to the overall aesthetics but also offer L’illa visitors in Barcelona a unique visual experience.

The tour focused on architecture, digital lighting, and technology.

This exciting tour featured presentations by prominent professionals: Gerard Cutal, Manager of the L’illa shopping center; Laura Quintana, Associate & Architect at Batlleiroig; Víctor Valcárcel, Creative Director at Lumalia Studio; and Carlos Delgado, Operations Director of LEDDREAM Group. Together, they delved into the realization of this project, unraveling objectives, challenges, and architectural perspectives, while exploring the impact of technology on lighting, design, and the creation of experiences. Among the digital elements that stood out on the second-floor hallway were the two impressive LED screens that create a surprising visual experience. Alongside the digital ceiling canvas, these screens attract visitors’ attention in a chameleon-like manner.

The ceiling of L’illa Diagonal becomes a fascinating digital canvas, and through abstract movements of masses of light and color, they dance in harmony, creating animated skies that seem to come to life.

In addition, visitors explored the creation process, the driving motivations, and the strategic locations where LED technology, dynamic digital lighting, as well as the fundamental principles of design and architecture were deployed. From conception to implementation of this innovative concept of digital lighting on the ceiling and the incorporation of various LED screens throughout the shopping center. This fascinating renovation of the L’illa shopping center becomes an urban refuge where creativity, technology, and architecture intertwine, offering an unforgettable experience for all who explore this unique space.

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) has marked a milestone in Barcelona, with record attendance and participating companies. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Europe’s largest professional audiovisual industry fair has surpassed its best figures to date, with more square meters and attendees than ever before. The return of Chinese visitors has boosted the event, seeking new business opportunities in a crucial European market. The continuous growth of ISE since its move to Barcelona has been evident, and further expansion is expected with the extension of the fairground in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. With over 1,400 exhibitors, including industry leaders such as Samsung, LG, Philips, and Panasonic, ISE 2024 has showcased the latest trends in audiovisual products, focusing on transparent, giant, and ultra-thin displays. Additionally, the fair has served as a platform for the Catalan audiovisual sector, which has experienced significant growth in revenue and employment. ISE drives Barcelona’s audiovisual sector, which represents 7% of the city’s GDP.

The audiovisual fair ISE 2024 concludes its edition on Friday, February 2nd, with an impact of nearly 400 million on the city and 1,400 exhibitors.

Last June 8th to 10th, we were present as Official Sponsor of the XVIII Spanish Congress of Shopping Centers and Parks, organized by the Spanish Association of Shopping Centers and Parks (AECC) at the Navigation Pavilion in Seville. This new edition became one of the most important events where the current situation in the sector, the evolution of consumer habits, the new technological challenges and the future prospects of the sector were analyzed. Investment in retail, mixed uses or the implications for the real estate sector were also discussed.

During these three days, the shopping center and park sector met again, after two years without being able to do so due to the pandemic, and this year it came back with great force, with several days of conferences, technical visits to commercial spaces, and the delivery of the AECC Awards 2022.

The expectations generated by this XVII Spanish Congress of shopping centers and parks #XVIIICongresoAECC have lived up to it. Under the motto #LaFuerzaQueNosMueve, this first congress has brought together more than 1,000 professionals from the sector in person, and also had the honorary presidency of H.M. King Felipe VI, showing his recognition of a key sector for the country’s economy.

Among the highlights leaves us the event.

Eduardo Ceballos, president of the AECC: Positive trend of recovery in the sector and it is expected that 2019 sales will be reached throughout the year. In the first quarter of 2022, sales have grown by 32.6% compared to the same period of the year past and in 2019, they are only 5.1% below. In terms of influxes, they also show a positive figure, 28.6% more this first quarter than that of 2021, although compared to 2019 they have still received 18.9% fewer visits. The number of shopping centers and parks in Spain remains at 571, and 1,520 million visits have been registered in 2021. Likewise, more than 794,000 jobs have been created, 46% direct and 54% indirect; 4% of the total created in Spain. In terms of sales, in 2021 sales reached 40,399 million euros. This represents an increase of 21.4% with respect to 2020 and a decrease of 13.5% if we compare it with 2019. In terms of forecast openings between 2022 and 2024, there will be 22 new retail parks totaling 459,468 m2.

Technology for the architectural digitization of new creative and digital spaces

 The expectations generated by the premiere of the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) have lived up to reality. The most important audiovisual fair in the world for the integration of professional AV systems, has ended with great success after a semi-face-to-face and more virtual edition in 2021, with a postponement from February to May and, in its 2022 edition, it has been the first complete event of ISE since February 2020, when it said goodbye to its previous headquarters in Amsterdam to move to Barcelona and has achieved a successful and highly anticipated result, leaving behind masks, antigen tests and distances, ISE has managed to attract a total of 43,691 face-to-face attendees from 151 countries, who made a total of 90,372 visits to the venue. Exhibitors have reported that the stands were busier than expected.

ISE 2022 returns with a vibrant and stimulating edition. Event highlights included seven ISE conferences with over 1,000 attendees, 800 booths from top AV brands including Sony, Sennheiser, Panasonic, Cisco, Google Meets, Zoom, Chrome, Lenovo, Samsung, Microsoft, Logitech , Canon, Epson, LG, Sharp or Intel. There has also been space for local companies, which have had the opportunity to play at home. In addition, ISE has also been noticed in the city, with the aim of making the industry known with two master conferences by Refik Anadol and Alan Greenberg, and two impressive projection mappings within the city of Barcelona, including a mapping in the Casa Batlló made by the artist Refik Anadol —and which has been auctioned for 1.38 million euros— and another in “Plaza España”.

4. A special event will also happen on the façade of Casa Batlló on the evening of Saturday 7 May because of the collaboration between Anadol and OFFF Barcelona, a festival of creativity, art and digital design – and ISE 2022.

Keynote Day Two will be from Alan Greenberg, entitled: ‘Next Generation Immersive Entertainment’ on 11 May at 18:00.  As CEO and co-founder of Illuminarium, Greenberg heads up a breakthrough global experiential entertainment company created by worldwide leaders in cinematic immersion, interactive content, and theatrical design.

ISE will also proudly present the ISE Immersive Art Experience. What you can see at ISE 2022

Taking advantage of the spacious and modern space at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía, the new ISE headquarters provides ample space for a new approach to the showroom. Six technology zones, arranged between five large pavilions, will group exhibitors in the main technology areas, making it easier for delegates to plan their visit and to find and compare the wide variety of solutions they need for their integration projects. These six zones are:

• Multi-technology zone (Halls 3 and 5)
• Digital Signage and DooH (Hall 6)
• Audio (Hall 7)
• NEW: Unified Communications and Education Technology (Hall 2) – newly merged zones
• NEW: Residential and Smart Buildings (Hall 2) – newly combined zones

More than 700 exhibitors confirmed for ISE 2022

A large number of exhibitors are registering to participate in ISE 2022, the destination where the world’s leading brands showcase the latest audiovisual technologies for professionals. More than 700 exhibitors have already engaged, including leading brands such as Barco, Crestron, KNX, Kramer, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony, among others. In addition, with the remodeling of the showroom there will also be a new Discovery Zone, which will highlight 40 new companies exhibiting for the first time.
