The last 10th to 13th of June the Sant Jordi swimming pool celebrated its first pre-Olympic sports event. The World Series Synchronized Swimming Superfinal, hosted this time by Barcelona, is one of the season’s most important competitions worldwide, and was broadcasted LIVE on Teledeporte (RTVE) y Esport 3 (TV3).
The pre-Olympic event took place in the Sant Jordi pool located within l'Escola Industrial's premises, at the heart of the Eixample. This was the pool's first time hosting a pre-Olympic Synchronized Swimming competition. 32 countries from around the world took part in this event, including global powers like Spain, Italy, France, USA, Greece, Israel and Hungary, as they competed for the 3 places made available to go to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021. This event was held without spectators in the stands and with all Covid-19 protocols in place.
For this milestone, the Federació Catalana de Natació (Catalan Swimming Federation) headquarters saw the inauguration of two LED screens that made live broadcasting of the event possible, along with following the competition and swimmer’s results. As the event’s main organizer, the Federació Catalana de Natació entrusted LED DREAM with carrying out this installation, who therefore took care of distributing and installing the two indoor LED displays.
The two Indoor LED screens were installed at the center of the stage and are the most impressive novelty of this re-styling. Indeed, the two screens cover a total 30m2 surface, feature an exceptionally high adjustable level of brightness of up to 5500 nits and a 3.9mm pixel pitch. Additionally, the screens receive a specific treatment ensuring their longevity in such a hostile environment as is a climate-controlled swimming pool, where temperatures and humidity levels are particularly high.
As audiovisual and LED solutions experts, LED DREAM keeps offering new digital solutions to its partners and clients!
